A Little Bit About Kennywood

     Kennywood is located in the suburbs of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, about eight miles from Pittsburgh. It opened in 1898 and many know it for its logo, the yellow arrow.
The park consists of 46 rides, six roller coasters, three water rides, 10 thrill rides, three dark rides, 10 classic rides, and 14 kiddie rides. The tallest height restriction is 54". The oldest ride in the park would be Garfield's Nightmare, but the ride was originally the Old Mill, and was opened in 1901. The theme has been changed multiple times, but the theme now was established in 2004. The oldest ride in the park that has been the same the whole time, no theme change, no nothing, is the Jack Rabbit, and was built in 1920. Kennywood was named a National Historic Landmark in 1987, one of the two amusement parks that are. Thank you for reading!
